The Cottage Setting

Our quirky cottage was originally built as a working Watermill dating back to 1791 during the reign of King George III, making it a true Georgian building. Riverside Cottage actually sits in the river, you can’t get any closer…… a beautiful location Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter. Sit back, relax and listen to the river run right past your window, and enjoy the regular sightings of the local wildlife visitors, Robin, Heron, Duck, Otter, Kingfisher, Squirrel, Rabbit, Hedgehog, and lots of other little water birds. You can enjoy the tranquil sound of the river from all rooms of the cottage.

Access to the front door of our cottage is via a little bridge which spans what used to be the Waterwheel Well. Riverside Cottage comprises of The Bedstone double bedroom (ground floor with en-suite, access to the main bathroom), The Hopper double bedroom (1st floor), The Crownwheel bathroom, The Linney sitting room & The Millrace kitchen diner all on the ground floor.
